Quick lesson, for those that dont remember the cavy is gone. I dont post about it much anymore cause I am all about the mustang and getting it ready for shows. Here is a few updates on the stangs progress

cavy aka AREA 51

Mustang Stock

First few mods: Tint, lowered, intake, exhaust

Now with the wheels and trunk mat

and the motor looking like this

TO THIS (still more chrome pieces going in)

Next mods will be 4.10 rear gears and axles, 100 shot NX, new front fascia, engine bling, interior bling

Not bad. Are you sure you want to go 4.10s?

Sweet Mustang.

Yeah, I am not supercharging it at any point. The 100 shot is as far as I will go and i have a new set of 295 tires to go on the rear to get a nice contact patch. The car will see the track but only in fun. I am not racing to get the best 1/4 mile time possible so having traction issues there isnt a concern as I will lose it. The car is being built for the street. Not so much for street racing but a fun street driver. The high end loss is minimal and my driving style hasnt had the car past 130mph ever anyway.

I have researced it pretty well to find these are what I want. I couldnt tell much difference in driving my car and my buddies with 3.73's as I have 3.55s stock. This will be a nice add for sure

this is not a concern. the cavy fit the tuner scene (kinda) but the mach is a completely different kind of project. The goal is to catch attention with simple clean additions that still leave the classic look of the original mach in place.

I just thing 4.10s is a bit of overkill for a car you don't want to track very much. But w/e, its your gas money.

The 4.6 DOHC needs revs. I was going to say get some 4.30's.

Where in WI are you? How much did you pay?

I love Mach 1's, don't like the blackout headlight covers, but otherwise its good!

O noes!

They need them for the track, not for DD.

Go with the 4.10's especially with the tranny in them. it will be a quick car. wont be fast but quick.

the hood decal is going back on. the side stripes I never liked. They just dont do anything for the look imo. As for where in wisconsin, I am in kenosha.

4.10's would be something cheap that would make a noticeable difference in the butt dyno. The acceleration would be alot better. And who the hell cares about gas mileage when you have a sports car? I know I don't.. I like to hear that exhaust roar. I spend on a normal basis about $50 a week on gas.. but I don't care, I love to drive my car and it's a small price to pay to do so.

Also, I love everything about this car, besides the blue in the engine.. that's going too far. Don't bling the car up with useless stuff man, get stuff to GO FASTER.

If it were an auto...then I'd agree. But it's not.

You drive that car year round Kelly?

4.10's on street suck ass. whether its stick or auto. wait till he wants to travel a couple hundred miles away and wants to take his perfectly clean and blinged out mustang. that will be a ride he never wants to take again. Stick with the smaller gear and get more go fast parts. how about long tube headers that u have to basically pull the engine to get on? lol.

blue in engine bay = rice

wheels and everything else looks pretty damn nice.

I am a big fan of 3.73s ... nice median inbetween 4.10s and 3.42s ... but those are on an LS1 F-Body.

Different engine, different weight load, etc.

Either way, nice upgrade over the cav.

I love how all the guys that don't even have a DOHC stang are trying to tell him the gear is too steep. It's really not as bad as you would think. Considering peak numbers come at a higher RPM than a Cavalier or LS1, it'll take more gear.

Quick but not fast? They're dangerously close to LS1(that everyone ooohhhhs and ahhhhhs over) F-bods stock for stock and respond very well to mods, plus don't have a weak ass rear end.

O noes!

No, they have paper mache' trannies and extremely sh1t frames.

But enough LS1 - Shtang dick swinging.

If 4.10s is what the stang responds well too, then God Speed.

I'll give you the frame comment, they really need subframe connectors, but the transmissions can hold a good amount of power.

Do GM T56 come with a 26 spline input, or a 10 spline? I know the Ford uses 10 spline, and its fairly common for the higher HP guys to swap them out.

O noes!
