Sunfire and S-10 are gone.
Sunday, February 11, 2007 12:10 AM
Well, after long thought about whether I wanna get rid of both, I decided I wanted something with a little less mileage and more options. My monthly payment is only $13 more than what i'm paying. Insurance is same price. In the long run it's good that I got rid of 2 vehicles because it'll save me money when it comes to regular maintenance, gas, etc.

So.. I decided to get a newer model Impala. I like the look of the car and it's decently quick. It's got power everything, sunroof, 3800 v6 Heated leather seats, 62,xxx miles, etc.

Mods i'm going to do include: Double Din touchscreen in the dash, 20% window tint, Speaker upgrade, new grille, HID headlights, Upgrade fog light bulbs, Remove pin striping, maybe put a system in, SS cluster, Floormats that say "Impala", and some 20's... Maybe.

Anyways, enough of my rambling.. here's the pics.

There ya go, I know it's dirty... they're cleaning it for me on Monday.

People say that what doesn't kill you in this life
will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......

pImpala.

I drove one last night, it was really nice! It get's up to speed so effortlessly, just barely hitting the gas. Gotta love low end power.

O noes!

Izn - Thanks, I appreciate it. Now get to designing me some headlingts for it

Jinxed - The dealership wanted about 10,900 for it. They gave me pay off on the sunfire and around 4,000 for my S-10. I added an extra $500 as a down payment to get the monthly down close to where I wanted it. Overall i'm only paying $159 a month. Which is $13 more than what I was paying on the sunfire.

Strohlly - Me too

Smokey - I would love to get custom badges that say that. That would be sweet.

Bronze - If only I had the money... unfortunately, after paying for the plate transfer, pro-rated insurance payment, window tint (soon to come) and paying for the $500 down payment, I'm a little broke at the moment. I wanna supercharge it anyway.

Thanks for the comment guys, i'm definitely gonna stay here on the org even though I never really posted much. Alot of my time will be on naioa.com...

Not bad, but how are you going to get a double DIN player into a 1.5 DIN slot?

I hate grey too, but i'm sure it'll grow on me.

According to Crutchfield, This will fit in my car. If I get it and it doesn't fit, I'll put it in my girlfriend's Grand Am and put the Jensen I have in my car.

I like how it's not a 7" touchscreen, but 6.95"

Nice car, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, but will the s/c fit on there? I was talkin with Tony (emokidpsy) about his GP and he said the stock s/c for the 3800's wouldn't fit right on the non-sc models. I

Sappy... If I had enough money to buy everyone a screen, I would.. haha

The s/c will fit, i'd just have to do a "top swap" as they call it.

Cool car. I know one problem a lot of them have is a problem in the steering linkage - you'll feel a clunking in the steering wheel at low speeds. I think there was another common problem I saw to look out for when I was thinking of getting one, but I can't remember right now.

There's alot of problems to look at for when buying a lot of cars. I know the thermostat will need to be replaced soon. The temp gauge fluctuates too much for me to handle.

I like Impalas, but I definately would have gone with a Monte Carlo instead.

Please tell me that you are not serious about putting 20s on it. The only impala that deserves 20s and up is the '96.

Kinda cool how you can get a bettter car that has more power and seats alot more people for only 13 more dollars a month. Nice grab by the way

Without trying to be an ass, let me ask. Why (other than GPS navigation) would anyone put a LCD screen in the driver's bay? You cannot safely watch anything (especially DVDs) while driving, and once parked don't you have somewhere to be? $800 would buy some nice stuff, why a screen?

Seems like a big fat waste of cash to me for nothing more than a distraction.

$13 bucks a month + an S-10 + $500 + a Sunfire...

Not just $13 bucks a month.

I hope it works out for ya. The must be OK cars, the COPs have been using them for a while.

I haven't been in a moden Impala (the last one I was in was a late 70s model), so I cannot give a good opinion on the car. All that matters is you like it anyway.
