Super charged Twin Turbo

I think that says it all right there. Also it's an automatic. Toyota never made an automatic Turbo. What a freakin' n00b that guy is. He seems to have taken his 1200hp thing down though. Good for him because that's false advertising.

Kinda funny considering when I was in college a buddy of mine owned a 97 TT AUTOMATIC.

Yeah, I just saw that on Wikipedia. In 1996 they didn't even make any manual turbo Supras. Ewwwwwwwwww... why would anyone want to straddle a sweet engine like that with an automatic? I can understand your buddy not having a choice because it was a used car and sometimes an awesome car can come along with the wrong transmission and you just can't say no. (I myself have resigned myself to getting an automatic one day because most of the cars I'd like came with a lot more autos than manuals, the 2002 Camaro SS for example) But why would anyone buy a new car with an auto? Insane. That's like a Viper or Z06 with an auto. I never even thought they made one until just now.

Yeah, but that's a very specific application. Also a manual will do the quarter just as fast with a good driver. Automatics are favored because of their consistency and strenght. No clutches to change and if you do a 11.89 quarter once, you'll do it again and again and again with little variation which is what you want in most types of drag races. Automatics are good for drag racing, towing/hauling and for off road racing (can't shift when you're doing jumps 20 feet in the air) but that's about the range where they're superior to a manual.

Lenco Automatics (which is the type used in REALLY fast drag racers) are basically clutchless manuals. You got three sticks which are first, second and third gear and pull them down to shift. Hardly your classic "auto".

Rallye Racing for example, wouldn't be as fast with an automatic. Sometimes you need to go from 4th to 1st in one turn and just can't do that with even the best manumatic. Also, the clutch is useful for varying the power given out by the gear you choose.

It all comes down to personal taste, but I love manuals and I just think they're more fun to drive is all.

I seem to think that stop and go traffic is another place where an automatic completely outshines a manual.

Either way, you're talking about racing applications, and the supra in the ebay auction isn't a racer.. its a trailer queen. Supras... to my knowledge have never been compound charged. This seems to be a case where someone wants the car to be a higher value than it actually is.

Targa top...

Covertable with hard top....

Sunroof...

WTF?!?!?!?

Twin Turbo?!?!? Doesn't he mean dual scroll sequential (which was stock and every serious racer replaced)?

Never buy a car from someone who knows this little about what they are selling. Ever.

What are Air-anti-loack brakes? Or does he mean it has air, and anti-lock brakes? He lists both air and anti-lock brakes twice. Aparently the is has cruise contral too.. I hope he meant contrail, that'd be cool.
