Well, my gf's Pontiac Vibe will be totalled. So, as american's we need a car to live. What kinda car do you suggest. She doesn't want a muscle car. She likes 4 doors, she hates the cavaliers lol
and her dad will hate her if she gets a foreign car (he said that her Grandpa would turn in his grave, if she bought a foreign car, lol). It has to be under 15,000 (perferably) and it can't be a compact car, she doesn't feel safe in those. She would like payments under 300/month. She was currently paying 260/month for her Vibe, and she was fine with that. Also, it has to be easy on the insurance, her dad is still paying for it.
Also, this is kinda off topic but kinda not. Didn't GM introduce the Certified Used Vehical w/ 100,000 miles warrenty?

Her rental car is a 2007 Pontiac Grandprix, she likes that, but she doesn't have enough head room in that. She really, really liked her Vibe. She might like the colorado too. Keep the suggestions comming. It can either be Ford or GM. Also, what about the 00 - 02 blazers? I know that she likes those alot Are they reliable at all?

I vote for a Volvo. A S40 to be precise. Safe, and definitely a chick care.
1 more vote for the G6 even the value leader sedan isn't at all that bad. Have 2 that just came in 2.4L CD player(quite suprised with the radio in it) power windows, locks, mirror, a/c, auto, 4 wheel discs only 17,985. I've seen used low milage GTPs come in go for only 16-17,000.

The Vibe is built in California.
We went looking for cars/suv's yesterday. We found 2 that we liked. One is a 2004 Trailblazer LS with 2wd, 4awd high, 4low and 2 low. We can get payments for under 300 a month. We will still get the manufactors warrenty plus the 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warrenty. We also saw a 2006 Impala LS (or LT, I can't remember) for about 270 a month. The only problem she has with an Impala is the head room, she is only 5'10", so she is not that tall. I think we are getting the trailblazer today or tuesday. I'm not too sure yet, but the trailblazer is almost a for sure thing

Get modifying on that trailblazer's motor.
Its got an LS Series 5.3L Engine, and is compatible with 95% of parts for an LS1 (other then the obvious piston size difference)
Those things make easy power.
I'm not too sure on how many leiters the enigne is, but its a v6. It has onstar on it and XM radio, remote start was aftermarket. It has a trailer hitch receiver. Very nice interior, with only minor scratches. The sales man said that he would look into getting new tires on it, the tires are almost bald and she would run the risk of hydroplaning and she would need new tires before the winter. The color is dark grey, almost black when you look at it. I'm already looking at wheels for it, for next summer
