LOL , youd think that someone would realize that cooling is important
Dude that's one hell of an expensive Fiero! (just kidding I love Fieros).

Yeah prototype does not mean production so I think they learned their lesson. I wouldn't be laughing at Audi either.
that thing sure looks "toasty"
In the famous words of Paris Hilton "that's hot"

just guessing here.
No duh, all companies are perfect on the first try.
Right, I'm sure Audi needed a prototype to learn turbo's get hot and placing them up against something can cause something to catch fire.
I mean, this is like the first time they have used a turbo right?
Get real, this is redneck engineering at it's finest.
Gunther, lets throw a turbo on this bad boy and see what it do
"Da!"
....
Gunther, did you get the fire extinguisher?
....
"Nein"

Actually they threw two turbo's on it, and they did get it right, just in a different car (RS6).

Which only exacerbates their stupidity even more. They already knew the engine, and the heat was produced, and they still screwed it up.
This would be like GM shoe-horning and LSX into a Cobalt and catching on fire and saying ".... so you're telling me headers get hot?"
Methinks a Gunter would say "Ja."
A Dmitri would say "Da."
I don't think you oughtta be making jokes like that one Emor8t until you prototype them first.
I don't think AUDI's done a twin turbo mid engine car until the R8
It's a prototype, it happens.. They could be like GM, and just release it to the public and hope it doesn't burn to the ground..

Just change that statement to ford and it's dead on. (FORD GT's)
im pretty sure they aren't making a twin turbo version.......just an NA V10 version......
can anyone actually confirm this?
My cousin had a A6 and it burnt to the ground. It wasnt a prototype, just another POS over priced European car. Kinda like the M3 that a former co worker of mine had. Leaked oil worse than a 3800 with a bad oil pan gasket.
