Sounds like Mercedes SLR's engineering, just add a zero to the numbers on the thread.
Hell, even in SLR, if you open the radiator for reservoir inspection you need flush it because it got contaminated with air.

The issue of Autoweek I received today has quite the article on the GT-R's black box. Up next: Mega warranties being voided.

This has ruined what love I had for this car and my respect for Nissan for sure.

15 launches per trans? Crazy, I guess you have to use that launch control only on very special occaisions.

I used to love the old Skyline GTRs, but since this GTR came out I really have lost interest, it's polluted the whole brand for me. I'll take an R32.

Is there a notepad on the dash with a pen hanging from the shift knob so owners can keep track of their numbers of launches by tallying them up? possible the pen is only good for 12 tally marks? what if you use a different pen to write on the notepad, does it void the warranty?

never liked this car personally..

Yeah man for real. I thought it was all cool with it's specs and all that, but it's too much electronics and weight and @!#$. I bet with less "driveablility for noobs" incorporated into this car and more bare bones giver @!#$, this car would be much nicer IMO! It's suppose to be a supercar for under $100k. Let's take some weight out of it and maybe add in a 6 speed manual (Who else here loves to shift?) and take some of that computer control out and let's see what's up then. But I'm no technician and have no idea what I'm talking about. I just wish it was lighter, less pussy driver oriented, and STANDARD!!!

I don't see any special information on the ZR-1 for warrenty, other than its 100% parts return for the it, the brake rotors aren't covered if the car has seen track use, which I don't see a problem with you got be abusing the hell out of to screw up the ZR-1's rotors.

GM's been pretty good with Z06 and vette warranty, I've seen a Z06 come in with aftermarket calibrations on the ecm, modified throttle body and intake for nitrous, and 2 windows on the block. Took 2 months and 2 engineers to finally agree if customer buys new intake, throttle body, and pay for his own rental gm would replace engine but with no warranty on it.

Oh, and if you ever need an engine for either a Z06 or ZR-1 replaced, you have the option to have it replaced a bowling green assembly plant or dealership, and GM picks up the tab for shipping and transport.

The yearly cost to maintain this car will probably exceed $80,000....I would agree to some extent normally, but not in this case...........this is just asinine!

You have "buy" in your sig where "by" is the word you are looking for.

haha yeah it does a bit. I mean, little @!#$ wouldn't bug me a whole lot, but I figure if he is putting a quote permanently into his Sig, it should be spelt right. Not like a short hurried retort, it is his sig.

well that may be true to an extend its not always true. if your replacing the tranny that much and your warranty is voided, your gonna go broke quickly.
