And that's the media that did that; as they were comparing "budget supercars" 500+HP for under $100K. Lets be serious, GT500 is not in the same league.

Hey, have a snide stuck up remark, get a reply with one. You really think the solid rear axle is an issue? They haven't had any problems with is, and Fox bodies are still killing at autocrosses as well as drag strips, so I don't see where the SRA is holding anything back. As well as road coarse testing done with it, and still no major issues?

And Leafy, you're right, I thought all the higher trims ended up getting IRS, but I was wrong. Guess Ford still finds way to make the SRA work perfectly fine with their Saleen and Shelby trimmed cars? So why is Stephen talking @!#$?

I dont understand at all how fox bodies are killing at auto-x. I mean even on flat pavement it takes a metric @!#$ ton of work to make fox bodies not handle like a dogs anus with wheels. And fyi, a camaro won ESP at nationals last year, closest mustang was 3rd and irrc it was an 03 GT. And even then they were still behind the "stock" miatas (I say "stock" because stock class is hardly stock, my friend who came in 3rd spends more money on dampers than most of you guys on here with coilovers spend on your whole suspension).

Stock class is still fairly held back and restricted, even if each part themselves can be expensive. You still can only do a rear sway, tires on rims of the stock wheel size, drop in filter, catback, and drop in struts/shocks

which, in stock class, is arguably unnecessary.

Not really. The secret to stock class is all the dampers. I mean everyone runs A6's, there's only a few realistic front sway bar choices, everyone is on the same springs, same engine, same chassis weight. About the only thing you'll really find different between e-stock miatas is, dampers, front sway bar, and driver. I would tell the real secret to damper setup but I'd rather not have that secret leaked by me.

LMAO you think you're the only person who knows some super secret damper setup for e-stock class Miata's?!?! I am willing to bet I could call 2 nationally competitive Miata drivers right now and get any secret you might have... Keep talking like you're part of an exclusive club. People like you are hilarious "I know something super awesome that almost no one else does, and I ain't telling because I feel so special".

Oh yeah on that topic. Someone got a 3rd gen camaro to pull 1.07 g's on the skip pad with street tires (well 1.07 g's left and 1.02 g's right, thanks to the pan hard bar).

So they can now pull 1.07 g's but they still can't pull ass outside of the trailer park? No care!

Unfortunately yes. I felt like I could get out and run faster. And then I turned and was like, "wow that was only ok because I'm on r-comps,' then I was like, its still gay because its a convertible.

Miatas are seriously legit cars. They are a true driver's car. Any one who doesn't give a Miata respect, in my eyes, doesn't know much about cars.

It's a purist car;
They're relatively stripped down.
Rear wheel drive
Light
Handle unbelievably
Raced often

I don't like the convertible, but everything else on that list is something I want in every performance car I own.

And then there always the Monster Miatas ]:->
