the 3800 motors aren't THAT bad. my mom's impala has a 3800 and runs a 16.4 on sea level pomona drag strip. i don't know how much lighter/heavier a camaro is than the impala but that could give you a performance side to compare it too. i'd say get it...even if its not fast its still a camaro thats cooler than any cavalier. and its got better build quality. and i'd rather say i have a v6 over a 4cyl.

the 3.8GM is i think seriously one of the best engines this compagny has ever produced..i have a 95 buick(3800 series 1) and a 2000 Grand Prix gt(3800 series 2),,and let me tell you these engines a bulletproof..and even if something does go ..parts are soo cheap..excellent engine..but the 350 is chevy's ""flagship"" engine...when you think chevy you think 350..just like fords 302..so it's your choice
