Depending on the driver of course, mid to high 14's. The best stock run I've seen has been a 14.2

^^^ Ya your right about companies not being able to drive the car the same way we do. They actually have professionals who are trained to do that kind of stuff

Then why are average every day drivers pullling better times than these "profesional" drivers?
It takes a while to get to know a car. You cant just hop in and hit the 1/4 track like these magazines do....and thats the probelm. The people who have owned these cars for months can drive them far better than anybody jumping in them for the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd time.

Very good point.
It definitely takes a while to learn a car, especially launch techniques and shift points.
The magazine testers only get the car for a short period of time, and they have to try and run the best numbers possible in that short period. Some cars are of course easier to drive than others, and considering that I think the Cobalt SS S/C takes some time to master

yea it would for a guy that drives an 18 second car.
here you go making more excuses to why cobalts arnt running 12's. DONT WORRY ABOUT IT< you never even know what 15's feel like.
insurance for my 18 year old self was only about 400 bucks more a year for a cobalt ss s/c then it was for a 2001 z24......
i was surprised but its a safer car=lower insurance

And as jkhd03cav said, you are a fine one to talk about crappy cars when you drive a 14 year old DSM
i see you attack goodwrench all the time.
