hey im wondering how the cobalt and the redlines push 12.5 psi stock on the ecotec gm supercharger and the gm supercharger for the 2.4 which i have only pushes 5psi stock? i thought they were basically the same charger?
The Eco uses a Eaton M62 we use a Eaton M45 unit (smaller). But yes same roots style. GM, with huge help from Saab designd the LSJ with boost in mind so they engineered it sturdy enough for a pretty high 12 psi from the get-go.

for 12.5 psi on M62 and a eco the quarter times for those cars are not impressive at all. you push a Z24 to 12 psi on a M62 and you will have yourself one quick little car . Easy mid 13 1/4 .

w/18s and a very modest program from the factory
if you put that much boost on your j it would def be tuned to take advanted
they can get them upwards of 270 hp stock
