British MG with a 2.3 Quad HO!!! Holy Shyt!!!
Thursday, February 02, 2006 7:49 AM
I thought about putting this in the Performance forum, but anyway... So I was checking out the Speed Channel t he other night and My Classic Car was on. And they had an old MG B that was I believe British Racing Green, and on the outside it looked like the typical British MG, but under the hood was - get this - a GM 2.3 QUAD HO with a short ram intake and full custom exhaust. Is that cool or what?

I didn't know you could use a Q4 in a north-south setup! Great engineering. Who thinks this stuff up?

One car I would loooove to see:
A Nissan 350 Z with a LS2 + 6 speed in it. I have no idea if it would really fit, but it's fun to think about...

Wait until the new Skyline GTR hits production. It's going to be on the Fairlady platform (350Z, G35 Coupe), and some rumors floating around say it will be fitted with a V8. Other rumors suggest a different version of the VQ35 but either way it will be twin turbo.

There is a kit that'll let you shoe-horn in an LS1 into an RX-7, and I think there's an LS1->RX-8 kit in the works... Lord knows, they need the torque.

There is a certain forum member who is VERY seriously researching putting a 3.1T into a MG.

The coolest engine swap I ever got the pleasure to work on was a C4 driveline in a 1980 Datsun 280 ZX. It belonged to a friend's dad. The guy totalled his Vette when he hit a deer and his son had this old 280Z that wouldn't run, so he figured why not. We used the whole thing including the independent rear. That thing was fricken scarey. And at the age of sixteen it was the coolest thing I ever got to do.
