Hey all,

97 2.4 cav auto, swapped over to 5speed... Got the 5 speed engine harness from a 97 z24 & I got the ECU from a company on ebay. I supplied them w/ a VIN for a 97 5 speed z24 from autotrader.

Everything is fine, but I have no tach & no coolant temp gauge.. Just doesnt work.. Tried a new cluster & checked wiring like crazy, no go.

I was reading in a different post that the 2000+ cars have a BCM which controls stuff like that, Im wondering if I somehow got a 2000+ ECU flashed w/ a 97 VIN..

Im thinking about ordering another ECU and getting it flashed to a 97 5 speed again, but I would have to license it in HPTuners again & that might not even be the problem..

Is there any differences in appearance between a 97-99 ECU and a 00+ ECU??
