I was looking into ways to solve my EGR problems with the HO intake manifold by swapping the 96 Z24 ECU for a 98 Z24 ECU. I was basically wondering if changing from OBD-0 to OBD-1 would be a problem. I also wondered if there were different sensors between the 96 and 98 besides the EGR. I know there is the EGR simulator but sometimes that doesn't work so i was thinking of this as an alternative. I think it may not be possible but cant hurt to check.

98 had the egr. 99 didn't.
it's not OBD 0 and OBDI. 96+ were OBDII. 95- were OBDI(except 95 2.3 AUTO)
