your paint code is on the underside of your spare tire well cover. take that paint code to any good body shop and they'll be able to match the paint just fine.

i was thinking rather to order it straight from PPG, ordering it through GM would be pretty expensive.

cant you just go somewhere and have them mix paint to match yours? i think it would be even cheaper that way, but i dont know so dont quote me.

yeah, that's what i mean. have the shop that's gonna be doing the painting order it from PPG. of course, that's probably what they'd do anyway. or they'd order it from whatever paint company they normally do.

The place im going to for my paint actually uses a paint scanner, they scan multiple parts of your car but you also give them your paint code too as a base to match off of.. for example, since im getting fenders painted, they will scan my hood, doors, and nose. They do this so they can find the best match of color. Same thing for my spoiler too. scan all thesurrounding pieces so that everything will match. See if your shop can do this, ive seen it done on a lot of cars and they match flawlessly. its best if they can do this to wash your car before you go. Ya dont want a salt colored painjob

Mines an 00 but they do it for every car that they do. It could be cause of fading but i dont know if you knew that when they paint them from a factory, there is like a 10,000 gallon tank full of paint going down the assembly line. The first car and last car are technically the same color but different shades since the tank is so big and its trying to mix it all up. So i think it really helps to match all the parts on your car. The paint code he said would be close to mine but cayenne red is a color change paint and he said that there are different shades of mine that the paint code. But since his car is arrival blue and its a solid color blue your right shouldnt fade and easy to match.
