Drift sides w/ what back? *pics*
Monday, August 08, 2005 1:58 PM
Considering I recently changed front bumpers, I decided to also change my back bumper. I am no longer happy with the drift.

My question is what will line up okay with the side skirts? My front bumper doesn't really line up that well, so I want my back to line up pretty good. I was thinking Type J because it's urethane, but I wasn't sure how it would line up or look with the drift side skirts. Buddy Club 2 was also another one of my choices, but I was also unsure of the alignment.

So, I am requesting that you all post some pictures if you have the drift sides and a different back bumper OR give me a good suggestion.

Here is the car now and as you can see, I cannot change the side skirts (*so don't suggest it*)-- I wouldn't want to anyway. I like them too much!

Why not wingswest? Theres also the buddy club rear, that always looks good.

Buddy club wouldn't be a bad choice either.
I need to see pictures of any backs with drift sides.... or photoshopped pictures.
Wings west? Avenger? I have that back bumper and it doesn't line up at all. I'm trying to sell it. It's WAY higher than my side skirts.

Only two that line up correct are BuddyClub1 and Aerogear Xtreme! I have the AAerogear and it was a paerfect fit with no sag and it was a flexible fiberglass rather than just a stiff fiberglass!

Good luck on the choice!

I wasn't asking about the front.
Thanks for putting your two cents in there though.
The avenger front doesn't line up w/ the drift side skirts? OMG I never noticed... thanks for pointing that out!!!!! lol.... j/k.

You said it right there ^. It sits too low for Ky roads. I needed something urethane and up higher & since you can't find urethane drift fronts anymore, I just went with what I could.

Let's try to stay on topic people... pwease!! I need advice on a BACK bumper!! =)

Why not save $ for air ride that you have been wanting for long time?

yeah yeah.... i know. My KEES money that I get from school goes toward my air bag fund. I recently sold my drift front... that money is going toward a new back bumper.
It's impossible for me to save money. =)

Did you see my post?

1. Buddy Club 1
2. Aerogear Xtreme
3. WW Avenger rear (whatever rear CavAttack2000 has)

I don'y know if the WW lines up with the drift sides either but I do know by comparison the first two choices look mint with a drift kit. I wanted BC1 but found that the aerogear would cost the same after shipping and all! So I went with the rear that I knew would fit perfectly on first try! If you need pics of the Aerogear just ask, i'd provide.....

Of course I saw your post and thank you. I have looked at all the bumpers u mentioned.I have the Avenger rear in my possession right now and it doesn't line up at all. I am trying to decide between the buddy club 1 and buddy club 2 now. I believe it's down to those two... eventhough I really did NOT want a fiberglass back.

Ahh I don't think I'd ever just go with a lip kit. They're just not for me... besides my side skirts are molded and it would be a pita to take them off + I like them. lol..
Buddy club 1 or 2 are at the top of my list, unless someone suggests some type of nice urethane one, but I'm alost positive I've seen all of the urethane ones already.

Thanks for the help so far guys! My decision is still pending though...
What about the Versus II back bumper on gravana? Anyone have it?
