drift front, any other sides...
Monday, November 07, 2005 7:48 PM
ive been thinking of getting rid of my bomex front bumper and buying a drift front, problem is, i dont know how it will line up with the kit. i know for a fact that drif is the lowessst kit out there, but if its only like 1 inch or 2 lower i dont really mind, i just dont want it to be totally off. I currently have some invader sides off of a civic hatch, and they line up with my bomex front, so its safet to say they are the same as the bomex sides. having said that, i was wondering if anyone has a cav/pics of a cav, with a drift front and some other sides, other than the drift sides. any help is appreciated thanks.

forgot to sat\y, preferably pics of an 03+ cav, if it makes a difference in how low the bumper goes, if not any 3rd gen cav is great. thanks

i would say that the difference is noticeable. the only other sides that work with the drift front are the bc2 sides and the type j sides. i had the type j sides with my drift front. here's an old picture

the sides line up with the front pretty well. the difference is hardly noticeable

reason is i already have my rear and sides, in fact everything is all molded. i dont have bomex sides, theyre invader sides. but theyre just as low as the bomex sides. im thinking they might be a little lower now that i went out to check my car. heres a side view of my car.

its not very clear but u get the idea. the reason i dont like the bomex is because its like sort of slanted, the rear of the front bumper is lower then the front, i want the drift cause its flat.

I think the difference is about an inch and a half. I hang out with Arnjolt alot, he has the bomex kit, and our cars sit at about the same height even though he has a 1.4" drop. It would be pretty noticable imo, but if you are molding the drift to your existing bumper, i wonder if you couldnt just shave 1.4" off somewhere to make it line up?

thats^^ what im thinking, but if i can get it already made for the 03 cav, i might as well just buy that and avoid the extra work.. i think my sideskirts are a little lower than my front bumper so i think it should work ok.
