Did anyone cacth the name of the company on overhaulin thursday night with the magnum that did those pressure door handles. those were pretty cool and i was wanting to find out how much some would be.

and also i know i have seen flip flop trunks on an 04 cav, but i was looking at mine and the arms attach to the deck lid on the inside not the outside. How did you do yours?

Yea, I've got the same problem with my trunk. I got a kit off of ebay a while back(might have been screwed over) and it came with instructions. I'll put them up tonight, maybe that'll help you out some.

I had something really funny to put here but it was too long.

I also just went through a couple of dodge forums and they mention the mod but not the name of it or who did it. Still searching though......

I prefer my trunk to be stout and erect as opposed to flip flopped,

The name of those door handles are "Magic Touch", they are not made for Cavi's yet but I am sure you can make a set work.

You can probably use any that they have, all you have to do is cut the hole in the door for them and flush mount em

Flip Flop trunk is alright for shows but on a daily driven car i wouldnt. when i had mine done the trunk would rattle in the wind and leaked around the window. it wasnt worth all the headaches so now its back to stock

^^^ YUP thats right.

it would prob be very hard to just cut out the handles and place these in because they wont match the curves on our doors.

i have seen these in person on that overhaulin car and im impressed but i would never get them because if you forget to lock you car ANYONE can open your car just by touching the door in the right spot. also if you want a shaved look then you dont want lines on your door like these leave.

I tried the flip flop conversion on mine this weekend and can't figure it out either. I got the hinges mounted and when i put the trunk back on, the trunk would still be solid mounted because the arms stick so far up into the trunk. I wonder if i should buy some extra stock hinges and cut them down or what i should do. If i could cut it just above the first hole i think i could make it work, or would it still not work since the hinges mount on the inside of the trunk lid.

design for the flip flop trunk is at the ny-jbodies website. I used their design and it worked fine. Had to put hood pins through trunk lid to hold trunk tight. Working on new design to solve problem of hood pins. Tried it out on a Civic and it works great, just need to come up with the time to do mine. I'll send pics if you need help.

you can purchase a universal kit that you can work into your doors, or you can buy the glass set that you apply to your windows. Another option is to give 'em about 2 grand and they'll build you a set in about a month. They said if they can get 20 people interested in sets for the same car model, then they would push that model to the front of the line and have sets readily available within about 2 months. I've been talking with them about my car. I brought up the J-body group purchase forum if they wanted to get their 20 people, I fugred there should be enough interest here.
