hate the Bomex kit and I wouldn't want to buy any knockoffs, either. But it's not me, it's you.

That's true in some circumstances, but you've still got to be careful. Sometimes some of the knock offs are so thin (if we're talking fiberglass) that I would rather pay a little more for better quality.
I wouldn't pay $1200 for a real or knock off bomex kit anyways! I wouldn't pay $1 for it. Wait, yeah I would. Then I'd sell it for a lot more.
