Aftermarket Clear headlights 03+
Thursday, December 01, 2005 8:54 AM
I talked to a place that can/will make clear versions of the orange reflectors for the 03+ cavalier headlights. I would like to know if any of the vendors (A plus, MMS, etc...) would be interested in a preorder to assist in the initial cost. PreOrders would be at a huge discont over the cost later. Instead of e-mailing each place individualy, I think that most places that would be interested will see this. Contact me at dennis@dmcomps.com

Thanks

yeah if you are gonna do this, see if they will do the round and the side turn one both and sell as a package or individually. I could see there being a good interest in this fo sure

I emailed that seller about the reflector pieces, and he didnt think it was possible to sell them individually, which leads me to believe that they aren't actually making the parts, just selling them. I tried searching on yahoo for them but its like a needle in a haystack.

the people selling the aftermarket cavalier headlights do not make them. They are made just like any other aftermarket part and then sold to distributors to sell. I am just going to get the reflectors made so they can be purchased seperately from the entire housing.

Yeah I know thats not the case usually, but I couldnt find these for sale anywhere else, and aside from the reflectors they look pretty cheaply made, so I figured maybe the seller was making them on his own.

If you do get them made, try and get them to be the same design/style/texture stuff as the stock kind, just clear.

they will not be the same texture as stock, using that texture makes the mold jump from $10,000 to near $30,000

Are you wanting just the reflector piece so you can replace the stock one? or the actual whole headlight with the clear piece. I will try to find someone to do this.

Thanks

$10,000 mold? I hope you dont expect to make too much money on this... They're reflector pieces, at most people will pay 25 bucks for all of them. That's 400 sets you'd have to sell to break even
