ok! i am close to getting the 03-05 cavalier headlight bezels finished. here is a picture to see what exactly i am talking about....
i had just received a set to use as a mold from a very nice JBO member a couple of days ago. i had just now gotten back from handing them over to my carbon fiber guy and i will hopefully have a set done in about a week or so. we'll see how everything goes.
now here is whats new!
i am thinking of making carbon fiber door handle overlays. how would this sound to you guys? it will be real carbon fiber shaped just as your stock door handles that will use 3M double stick tape to mount. if you have any other ideas as to how you would like them to mount other than 3M double stick tape, please tell me. so far i believe that would do the trick. now, i dont know for a fact, but i believe that the drivers side and the passengers side are the exact same shape. if this is true, i will need someone to send me a door handle if it is possible. it doesnt have to be in perfect shape. as long as the face of the handle is fine, thats good enough. of course the person who sends me one will get a free pair. if this is not something you guys would be interested in, please let me know.

i am thinking about carbon fiber fuel doors....
rather than making an exact replica, my carbon fiber guy suggests to just wrap them. so in order to do this, i would have to ask people who are interested to send me their fuel door to receive one that is wrapped in carbon fiber. once again, please let me know if you guys would be interested in this.
i have not discussed pricing yet due to the fact i dont know what YOU guys would be willing to pay for such items. please discuss, ask me any questions and suggest a reasonable price you would be willing to pay for these.
i have allot of projects going on at the same time right now such as an order for a set of projectors i have been working on forever, these carbon fiber pieces, clear headlight lenses, clear taillight lenses, and everyone purchasing the materials to build their own projectors. also my full time job. so if i do not reply to your emails, please be patient. and as always,

if you could get the hole fuel door made i would take one.
With the door handle thing I would say make the whole door handel instead of the stick on kind because it would eventually peel off. But other than that I can't wait to see the bezels they will be nice. Good work man.

have to agree, the door handle is going to be used very often, and probably won't last long with 3M tape.

Personally I agree that wrapping them is a better idea, and as far as handles go, If he could make a mold to use 3m tape but also have a lip to kinda wrap on the bottom edge kinda like a J it would hold better.
Got one other idea for you that could be a big seller depending on the price etc, will toss you an email.

a kind org member had said they could provide allot of fuel doors for a good price. when they get back to me, ill purchase as many as i can get and then nobody will have to wait for build/dry time. as soon as i receive yours, i send one out to you. i hope it works out!!!

we looked at the fuel doors to possibly replicate it, but it looks a bit more complicated and much more pricey to do. so right now i am just offering a "wrapped" fuel door. he will do special order that i have already received via email from viewers of this thread. i just cant put a price on things such as that till he sees what work will be needed.

we looked into it further and he says he can do it. he says perhaps make the handle out of fiber glass, and the part of the handle you can see made out of carbon fiber. but that will be a "special order". other than that we are just going to go with the over lays. they will possibly shaped like "
C" where it will almost snap on. they will bend around over the top and bottom (HOPEFULLY) and also have the 3M tape behind them.

yes, the "J" method was one of the first ideas. im sure we will be using that if the "C" doesnt work out so well. cant wait to see the outcome. oh, and i got your mail.

I think you shoudl amek the B pillar trim piece in carbon fiber... I don't knwo who maeks the current ones but they are complete junk, they look and fit liek @!#$, they are extremely cheap, I want some QUALITY ones
I need the headlights, my car just got hit and effed up my BMX front bumper and broke both headlight units, also bent the right side fender.
And the sorry arse wench didn't have insurance either, so I have to foot the repair bill.
