Just got a new hood and i was wondering how it would look if i painted over it. If anyone has done this and has pics, I would appreciate it.
Usually they don't look that great because the actual carbon fiber weave isn't a great surface, lots of dips.
Yeah its best looking unpainted. If you want a painted hood.. just give me yours and get a fiberglass one

if you paint it, it will look like a regular stock hood. ive never seen any cf hood where there has been dimples from the cf. the hoods have a gel coat on them like glass hoods do. cf is meant to be painted. no one ever paints them because they wanna show off that they have a cf hood
I have mine painted. Its sitting in the garage for the winter. But mine is body color. Nothing like wanting people to look at your car, to see what they can steal.
paint just part of it. the outsides and have it flow real nice. it can look real good if done right
