Anybody know where I can go to get JDM parts from a 2.4Z? I ave the tails but I got them on Ebay and I'd like to get the front fenders and maybe the mirrors. WIll the local Chevy dealer be able to get them or maybe the Toyota dealer?

Your local GM dealer can get them.
Thanks man. Do they have the interior stuff too? I have a second Cavalier I just bought to do soundoff competition with and I'm thinking about doing the JDM conversion (minus the RHD) just to be different.

^^no offense but its not too different to do jdm things anymore. good luck with it though.

They can get their hands on any of it. You just have to give them the part #. With out that they will look at you and ask "What the hell is a Toyota Cavalier?"
you do know chevy makes the toyota cavalier over here right? (well they use to). any gm dealer can get the parts you want. one of this faq's on here has a list of part numbers for each item. if not check out street-line.com, they have every piece you could want
I can get you just about any Toyota Cavalier part number you want, from GM.

i got the 2.4l logo from the toyota dealer where i baught my car and they also gave a free toyota logo, not 100% if im gonna put em on or not though.
The Toyota Cavalier was built by GM. You can order the parts brand new (read: EXPENSIVE) through any dealer or reseller of GM parts (your local dealer, www.gmpartsdirect.com, etc). Or you can buy used ones from www.street-line.net (probably best shot) or Ebay.
There were only 20,000 Toyota Cavaliers in Japan to begin with... so used parts are hard to come by at times. Also some of those cars were exported from Japan to other countries (Australia, New Zealand are big on that.. also Mongolia, etc..).
I have owners in those countries emailing me for parts... usually things like window motors, one guy for a water pump... sigh... what a fun task in Mongolia...

Well, this is true if you live in Iowa and own a Honda. I have yet to see anyone around where I live with a Cavalier that has anything JDM. Then again, Iowa is somewhat sheltered from the true tuner culture. Most of the rides I have seen around here are all "Fast and Furious" and it gets - yawn - tired.

Yes, please name 5 people that have done this swap. I can name 3, one of which has given up, and only 1 that has completed it.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
I can't really say I want a complete conversion, because I have an RS and I plan to add the Wings West kit with the JDM fenders and mirrors. I already have the tails and clear corner lenses. The interior I'm debating on because since I'm going into SQ/SPL, I will be doing a ton of fiberglass work and I have not decided wether I will keep the back seat or not, and that's the only part in the interior I don't already have.

here are the desirables part numbers Let me put it this way. I bought my tail lights from a private seller in Japan for $150. I had my right outer tail damaged when my car was vandalized. So I bought another new piece from GM. The outer tail only, from GM parts direct, was $100 shipped to my house. But at least it came with a new harness (and it was very clean)
