i am thinking about maybe replacing my front bumper with a body kit front bumper piece, but i was wondering what a decent shop charges to prime a single piece like that and paint it and put it on? I am not talking about macco i am just looking for an average cost on a custom bosy shop.
this is asked all the time, and theres no answer for it. call around your area and get quotes.
RIP Kasey Burleson, and get well soon Chris Shelly
put it on yourself, it takes like 20 mins. as for price it will probably run around 300 for a decent shop to paint just the front bumper
hmm 300 isnt a bad average. i will probably put iton myself, does that 300 include primer?
also where can i get any front bumper for my car except the one on rksport for $500??? not relly looking to spend that much just for the bumper alone.
talk to Karo at
http://www.carcustoms.net. he sells RK Sport stuff for a good price, but don't expect it to be cheap either. you're paying for quality.
GO GET A QUOTE FROM A PAINTSHOP, not internet forums, every shop is different

Can we PLEASEEEEEE get a sticky about asking for estimates for work??? PLEASE?!?!?!?! I'm begging!!!!!
99.9% of bodyshops give (FREE) estimates But just like here you need to tell them what color! base white is a diffrent cost to say gun metal silver there are so many factors to have someone on the internet without seeing the car give you a est, (new paint on the bumper and old paint on the fenders (blend not to blend) etc

The shop i went to to have my front bumper painted charged me $200 for prep primer and paint. They did a good job too, but my dad sells cars and they do some of their painting so i knew they did good.
It all also depends what quality bumper you get because if you get a POS fiberglass one with a bunch of cracks and everything then they will have to do a real high build primer and all that, which costs more. That's just been my experience with needing to get stuff painted anyways. And the other shops i went to quoted me $300 so yeah $300 is about right.
Thanks
Shaun
