well heres the situation, lambo doors were purchased used and when installed one of the shocks failed. Both were sent in and i now have 2 brand new ones sittin here. question is should i put them on now or wait until spring?? how well do these shocks function in the cold and is there more of a chance of them failing due to the cold temp???
any suggestions appreciated
why not ask the company you got the shocks from?
they would know best seeing as they sold them to you

They suck in the winter, ill tell you that. Its in the summer when its really hot is when the shocks are more likely to blow
so meckster ur sayin that puttin them on in the winter shouldnt effect them and they should still work fine come spring? o and by the way im in love with ur car lol
well i can't say it cause mine aren't going on till spring buttttt. gas shrinks in the cold fluid gets sluggish, rubber seals stiffen and crack . they may not blow but i think theres x2 on ware and tear?

hydraulics do not work in the cold... I had a buddy that worked at jewel, they used to put the hydraulic lifts in the freezers when he worked nights to mess with the morning people, the lifts would not function untill they warmed up, same thing with the shocks, in the cold they will not work how they are surpossed to... with that said why bother even having them on when they wont work anyway
^^ and you have a smaller door than me... try doing it with a bigger door and a fiberglassed door panel
High of 18 today, I hung out with a few other guys on here (including WannaBeZee) and he showed me his doors...they had no trouble going or staying up...
I just installed mine but they open and close fine....and i'm in Buffalo where its always below 20.
yeah hydraulics definitly dont work in the winter i am an aircraft mechanic and its like and act of god trying to get the hydro systmes to work in the winter
mine have been on since Feb, it was cold then and it is cold now. Still good. Do not drive the car, but when I open the door to work on it they are fine. Think, shocks hold up SUV hatches, and glass, and the rear hatch of sport cars.
