i was wondering if they ever made the GXP wing for the sunfires. i saw a pic of it and really like it. does anyone sell them?

could we get a pic of what it atleast looks like? this way if they dont make one for our cars we can direct you to one similar

I think i know which one you're talking about, and no, it was never made. GM really dropped a great product with that and the turbosport wing.

this wing will fit but takes some major modifying from what ive heard

Hmmmm you know I never thought about the tib wing being close to the GXP wing. Know I have something to think about, I was going to go with the "Raptor" style wing that is available but I always loved the GXP wing style. Does anyone have any idea about how much modding we are talking about to get the tibby wing to fit? Or were you talking about modding such as having to drill new holes, weld and bondo the old holes and basically have the trunk re-painted. Cause if thats all I'm gunna get me a tibby wing and do it!

you'll also need to probably cut the tib wing down the center and adjust the width
then mod the arms so that they sit flush with the body of the fire and the top of the wing to be level like it was to start and then you'll need new holes
technically you wouldnt even have to take your stock wing off though...... if you wanted to split the project up a bit you cud leave the old wing on for awhile cus itll fit

definetly one of the best looking wings on a fire. it is too bad GM didn't make the damn things.

Well talk to Andy Brooks (excesivefire) he is the only one i know who has
done this. From what Ive heard him say it was a pita. I ordered a spoiler
meant for a newer tiburon last week (not this spoiler but similar) so I guess
I'll be finding out how hard it is.

sounds good to me Im gunna look into it. Erebuni sells a replacement replica wing for like $150, and if it doesn't sound too hard to do I'll look into it, cause if I can get it done I think it will look sweet.

I talked to Andy and he said that the modding that he had to do on the wing was almost more than it was worth. Baically cut it down to match and level out. He has his set to the end of the trunk. I want to try and sit the wing towards the back (closer to the rear window). More like the GXP style, but that will require messing around with the wing's feet and stuff. Ah well, we'll see what happens.

Yep i knew that I would probably need to trim the feet of the spoiler. I will try to get some
pics when mine gets here and I start to work on it.

Not to thread jack or turn this into a classified ad, but i have a red tiburon GT spoiler, from an 05, in perfect shape that i was going to put up on ebay incase anyone is interested.. i was going to do the exact same thing, i never got around to it and now i'm going to sell the car..
