^^^ That GP is over as far as I know. HID's will work in your car, you just buy a kit for the bulb number in your car and plug it all in. If you have a dual beam bulb, more than likely you will lose your high beams. You can get kit's now with high and low beams but, the high is not HID and will be pointless. The HID bulb will be much brighter. What K rating are you going with? 5000K white, 6000k light blue/white, 8000k blue, 10000k+ purple.

I have a question somewhat related to this so I hope the author doesn't mind.. does anyone have any pictures of the light output from inside the car? I keep hearing that there is no longer a need for high beams with an HID kit but I've only seen head-on pics.

Blown.

filip- you don't need high beams with HID's, even the 5000K would be so bright that you wouldnt have to worry

5000k are brighter anyway, the lower the number the brighter down to 4300k.

Correct. Also, once you get over about 5000, they start getting dimmer and dimmer. You are sacrificing overall light output for more color.

Also, as far as your high beams go, I have seen kits out there that will do the high and low beam for you. They are more expensive, because they have a motorized shield that redirects the light to reflect high or low.

Yeah, I would use anything over 6000k. Mine are 6000k's, plenty blue for me.
