anybody ever heard anything about #1 carbon fiber hoods? They sell them on nopi.com. I saw one on ebay and wondered if it would be decent. The guy told me that he didn't use hood pins. he said he had it one his car for a month or two. Opinions and comments are welcome

never heard of it before, can you link to an ebay auction with that hood, or a pic of it?

okay I won the bid. I have a couple of friends that have carbon fiber hoods and don't have hood pins and have had no problems for three-four years. Do I have to put hood pins on this hood? I personally don't like hood pins, i think they take away from the look of the hood. Has anybody had any problems with running a cf hood without pins?
thanks in advance

search about hood pins. on a cheap hood like that i would pin it. whats an extra 15 bucks to protect an investment and a windshield
^^^agreed. ive seen to many fiberglass/cf hoods destroy cars. i pinned both my hoods. not for look, but safety and reliability
RIP Kasey Burleson, and get well soon Chris Shelly
My hood has about 2 years of use on it with NO PINS.
But it is also 100% Carbon Fiber. No crappy fiberglass underneath.
I am all that is man
it doesnt matter what its made out of, its still lighter. the main problem is wind gets up under the hood and catchs the latch causing the hood to fly up. ive seen too many pics of this and its happened on my buddies truck. i pinned mine just for a peace mind
i'm guessing the pins have to be drilled into the hood. where then would be the best place to pin it? with them being the least visible? Where did you guys get your pins at? I want black ones then
