Sunfire Clear Corner How To

Ok, so I searched the and googled it and couldn't find anything. I know they're out there cause I used to have a copy of them, but I need to find the how to for clear corners on a 98 sunfire. I know I know most people say, just buy them off ebay, but I'm a hands on kinda guy, and feel better about my stuff if I do it myself. So if anyone knows where the he11 they are at can you please post a link or the instructions? thanks

Ok 2 things

1- If your talking about the rectangular side lights, you can buy them off ebay for like 20 bucks. Do you have a GT or SE

2-Sig is too big, mods will give you a warning, telling them to shut up won't help. Use paint or photoshop to resize. I think photobucket has a resize tool as well.

I remember when i made my own clears waaaaay back before you could buy em. I was so proud to be like the only one with em. Then like a year later everyone had em lol.

ok i have an se, and i'm talking about the turn signal lights and the marker ones on the rear bumper, i know there is a way to do this on your own and like i said i like to be more hands on than buying things.... i'm the guy that goes to the grocery store and buys corn, carrots, peas, and green beans in stead of mixed vegetables.... just something about doing it yourself to me... call it o.c.d. if you must lol but i just like being hands on rather than taking the "easy" way out, just my personality and i will try to resize the sig right now, let me know if it's better.....

but instead of bashing my sig and telling me i can buy them which i've already stated, can anyone answer my original question of where are the instructions on how to make them yourself???

anyone??????

i know somebody out there has done this at one point in time, in fact i remember when i first joined the there were posts about this like once a week, now nobody knows anything????

i believe the directions i had saved on my old old computer before it crashed were something about making clear tail lights and that the procedure would work for corners as well, i can't remember..... but i would like to do this, i've got alot of time on my hands right now and nothing to do and that always ends up bad, so please please please help me!!!

btw why don't the search engine go back that far to those good ol' days??? it's only like 12 months it goes back or something, not very long

just pay the $15 and buy them. they're the same ones as that on a firebird too.

but if you're dead set on making your own. if the sunfire is anything like the 95-99 cavalier you should just have to take the lense off and pull the color off. its just like a piece of colored tint on the inside of the lense.

For the SE, the rear markers are solid red plastic and the front turns are solid yellow/orange plastic. There is no backing color to remove to clear out the lenses.

2 options are to remove the lens from the housing (for the front) and have a full clear molded to match the angle and epoxied/siliconed on and a rear one cut to match, or hit up eBay....
clicky
