HOK vs X-otic vs. Hot Hues on my car ?
Monday, January 16, 2006 11:14 PM
Hey guys, Im currently shopping for paint. My friend used Hot Hues, but I am looking at HOK or X-otic paints

I want kind of like a Candy Apple Dark Red on top and a really deep black on the bottom
Anyone have suggestions on some colors to look at by one of those brands ? The person painting has done amazing paint and has done some nice pearl Hot Hues paint, but I would like something easy to spray so maybe it wont cost me so much ( a friend of our car club ) and Maybe some good color combos ?

its not in stone yet or anything but I am using something similar to this scheme that im working on in PS.. ( not my car btw.. Alias1429s old cav ) and I didnt know if anyone has good colors

My car will be similar to this, but I will be using side strikes w/ my Type J sides, black projectors, Prostock wing, and I have a RKSport SS hood and the scoop will be black to break up the red and my windows are about 5% so that breaks up the red also

I'd say X-otic personally.

i would suggest hot hues .....brandy wine candy over a black metallic base....its like a dark candy red. hot hue sells it...it will give you that real deep effect....beutiful color........if your doing a two tone car i would actually suggest doing brandy wine candy all over but do half a black metallic base and the other a silver metallic base... giving you a dark brandy wine versus a somewhat lighter shade of brandy wine.....either way good luck
