Considered filling these in myself, so I'm curious as to the best way.....? Need someone experienced to give me an opinion. Work/materials involved please! If they can be welded shut I'll just pay to have it done. I regret this beyond belief but it was the best way to mount the Sunfire sides using the factory clips-
the best way to fill in holes in weld them closed. if you try and throw filler on there, over time it will crack due to temp changes and will fall out.
i would just put the sunfire skirts back on, lol.
yea i got the same holes from my fire sides, getting welded up when i paint my car this spring.
weld the holes shut the only way to correctly fill a hole
can i haz bondo

just get the trd sides man, and the trd front and shave it a little for the headlights. ur car would be amazing
glass would hold up, but welding would be the best way.

Funny you say that, as that's the current solution! Black duct tape though.
Thinking of keeping the SF sides though, I loved them when my car sat low.
TRD front and sides would be HOT, but fiberglass.....eh.
Your absolute best bet is oging to be to weld the holes. You shouldn't need any sheet metal. Anybody with good control of a mig welder should be able to slowly tack a little in every hole until each is closed without warping the panel. You may want to sand down the panel around the holes and put a light-weight filler down just in case there is some slight warpage.
I would imagine the sunfire skirts wouldn't look bad anyway without a drop as long as you don't have some crazy front bumper going on or something.
I have yet to see you cheap out on anything like most do though so I doubt I need to say anything else.

Yeah that's the info I was seeking, as I now I know when I take it around for quotes. I pretty much knew to have them welded shut, just wasn't 100% on cost etc...you know how that can change a lot of factors in decision making.
I'm having both 1/4 panels repainted anyhow, so debating on sides and then I'll be good to go.
Thanks everyone for the input.
