Just a question...but how many quarts of paint will it take to cover the body of a 3rd gen. Cavalier? I'm not sure if 2 quarts would be enough or not?
By 'entire body' do you mean just the exterior panels, or the exterior panels + jambs + underside of hood/trunk/doors + engine bay?
mine was 4 for the whole car and door jams and i had a little left over
i say 1 gallon
it also depends on what system you use
in ppg the dbc system i can use a gallon inside and out and have some left over so it depends on what system ya use, sealer plays a big part too

my body guy just used a full quart on a bodykit and fenders... so 3 or 4 would sound definitley reasonable.

dupont chromo . 2 qts will make 4.
