i bet this has been posted before but what i want to do is a bit different.. seeing if anyone has done it with success... what i want to do is have the second filament in the reverse light as my blinker and the taillight as just for the brake/running light... i thought of tapping into the third brake light and connecting the tailight in series.. the ground from the third brake light into the brake of the tailight.. (if that would even work correctly) and then running two wires from the front blinker back for the reverse lights and connecting them to the extra filament on the reverse lights.... if anyone has/knows of a easier way please tell me...
Look up Toyota tail install. It's basiclly the same thing, just you want to put the bulbs in different housings.
STL i was looking at the page you told me about, and it mentioned in there that a white wire had to be cut from the steering colum... i was curious out of which harness is it... the horizontal beige harness connector or the vertical blue connector... by the way it is a 2002 2.2l if that helps any...
i have done this..its not worth it at all. but i cant stop you, i undid it. I used to have pics, and i forget what connector it is, but im almost positive its the blue one. It was a royal pain in my ass.
thanks guys if i figure out how to post pics i will tomorrow.. just making sure i got the picture straight before i got my head into it....
It's the horizonal harness.
thanks now to go cut and rewire... thanks for the imput....
