So this morning I go out and leave for work. Its very dark out, so I try and turn my high beams on and I have none.
What happens is that when I turn the high beams on, my DRL's turn on instead of the high beams. I kept flashing the high beams a couple of times to see if they would stay on, and they did come on for a split second, and then the DRL's would come on instead. I also have no fog lights as well.
Any one have any idea what the problem could be? The only thing I can think of is that I did the MOD to keep the Fogs on when the Highs are on, but I un-did this months ago. I might have to see if the wires came undone from this.
I need to get this fixed asap as I need to get the car inspected this week.
Thanks,
Chris
i dont know about where you get your car inspected, but i work at a dealership, and ive never seen anyone turn on the high beams or headlights/foglights and check them.......
when i had this exact problem it was the switch that you use to turn on the lights, something in it got messed up or over time just wore out. i say try replacing that and see what happens.

average minds talk about events.
great minds discuss ideas

That was very informative....

So what you are saying is replace the blinker arm that is attached to the stearing wheel? If that the case, its going into the shop to get that fixed.
Well it figured out what the problem was. It was a loose connection from when I undid the FOG light MOD. One of the connections came loose. I cleaned it up put it back together and it works like new again.
Now I can get the car inspected.
Thanks.
