I have been thinking. HARD I posted some stuff about taillights with two lights in the outer tail of somewhere around the 95 year. I have seen (on ebay) a set of custom tails made, so that the outer bulb in the taillight acts as a turn signal. My idea is this::
I wanna get a set of outertails, but instead of the red lens, i wanna pick up a difused lens from IZN Tribal, allowing me to get a yellow bulb for the turn signal, and a red bulb for the braklight. And make a set of taillight covers so it looks like 3 holes.
I dont know if anyone followed that, but has anyone seen it done? I know IZN tribal sells the lenses, but how hard is it to get the lens off of the original taillight.

Some taillights come with TWO bulbs on the outter taillight. I think its like a 195 and a 3157. I wanna get a hold of a set of them, rip off the RED lens on the tail, and put a clear lens on them. Put a YELLOW bulb in the outter socket, and wire it to turn signal. And put a RED bulb in the 3357 socket using it for brake lights. Instead of having a dual filiment bulb using it for turn signal and the brake light. Then i wanna get a taillight cover with two holes in the outter taillight and one hole around the reverse light.
I saw them on ebay, and i am kicking myself for not picking them up, but they had red lenses, so the turn signal would light up red.....and thats not what i want.
How hard is it to get the red lens off of the taillights and put a clear lens on?
hey justin. you could do something like this....
take a bulb socket and mount it to the outer side of the taillight. like something like in this picture...
its a different light, but you get the picture.

i guess i wouldnt have a problem doing it, cause some 95 tails have two sockets already.... i am just not sure how to get the red housing off and the clear one on

great idea though, i need everything to be perfect though, i was thinking of using a dremel with a THIN THIN wheel...... awesome work though
Once the lens was off, that was all that I was going to need of it. Now I just gotta clear out the channel that the rest of the lens resides (darn super adhesive... ) and heat bend a clear piece of plexi to go back in that channel.

Here's a test fit of the clear lenses that I got from IZN.
I still have to mount all the internals and re-wire everything up (far too many wires for my taste) but it gives an idea.
Perfect fitment.

i wish i could find the set of tails that im gonna make..........its gonna be insane. I just gotta get a hold of a set of tails with the two bulbs in them.

All 95+ Cavi tails will interchange with Cavi coupe & sedan, as well as Sunfire sedan.
