BMW oem HID's

I've been working on trying to get the HID's working on my car. I disabled the DRL's already, and bought a 30 amp 12V relay for the setup. Should I splice into the low beams wires? Here's a pic of the HID I bought. my car is a 96 cav.

I spliced into the low beams on mine and ran each side through a relay to reverse the polarity. I drive an 01 so I don't know if its the same fore you. Good luck.

one more question about that link. I understand how the diagrams are setup except for one thing. It seems like they wire everything for both ballasts to just one 9006 connection. Is that true?

yes because your just using the 9006 for a 12v. power from the light to the relay tu turn the relay on....i did this with my sunfire...had to use bouth grounds from the stock lights to turn the kit on....but mine are h11...so just a little differnt

Hey IZN! does it matter which connection I use, the driver side or passenger side 9006 wiring? I think after this post it would be nice if someone would make a sticky on DIY wiring for HIDs. Thanks for everybody's help! IZN do you or someone you know sell the clear headlight lens for the 95-99 cavy?
