Replacing Stock 2000+ bulbs (No im not a newb...)

Ok, well I just did a 2000+ headlight conversion. I bought some 9007 bulbs but for some reason they arn't staying in....they are loose and the littlest movement makes them fall out....i see there are some kind of tabs on the headlight itself but it seems like it's not reaching them? if that makes any sense....anyone have any ideas?

there's a round plastic thing that holds the bulb to the plastic tabs you see. thats what you're missing.

You need a "plastic nut" the dealer sell it. I had the same problem when I did my conversion

Its the bulb retainer..i got some pics.. i had to buy one when i had my old red cav and it ran like 6bucks at dealer i beleive, when i got my 00 headlights i only got one so i gotta get another one. I tried takin a pic of the part number on it but it didnt come out good so i gave you the GMPD list information under the pics. I cant remember which side touches the headlight housing but i do remember there is only one way that it works..

here is a comparision of the new one and old one.. the new one is thinner but it makes up by the placement of the 3 teeth inside it. i didnt realize the old one had those 3 teeth missing.. but the thinner one has the teeth higher up and the original one sets the teeth inside the retainer. so it dont matter..they both work fine. also i took a pic of how the retainer goes on to hold the bulb in. u really have to push the bulb in.. the 3 nubs on teh bulb should line up with the 3 slots in the back of the housing and then just turn the retainer like 90degrees to lock it in.
