Can any one help me out on this topic i know how to glass but theres on thing i have never done yet and i dont want to ruin the project i have. Its a custom spoiler for the car. I want to know if i can just build the fiberglass up more on the bottom like maybe 10 coats? and then be able to drill the holes and then tab them to the thread pattern i need? If you could help that would be so great! if it doesn't work please help me out on how i can make it mount to the stock holes in the trunk. Thanks

What I would think is the easiest thing to do is put 10mm bolts into the holes for your trunk. Then fiberglass the bolts to the bottom of your spoiler. Then all you have to do is use nuts to hold the spoiler down instead or trying to thread a screw into your spoiler.

ya your guys are smart lol i was talking with a friends and he mentioned what david said. That way its easier to line the spoiler up instead of having to find that little hole to tighten it up. but im going to lay the a layer of glass down and then once thats hard drill the holes for it and insert the bolt with a washer that way i have a little bit more streangth on it. thanks guys.
