Rust

I am starting to get a bit of rust around the gas cap area, and in the front fender, wonder if I can do anything to fix it, and where to get the right paint to match my car. Is there an easy way of losing the rust? My car is a light blue

sandblast it all man, and then put some "duraglass over it" Then...... sand, prime, paint, and when your done with that use "Amber Rustproofing"

the only perfect way to eliminate rust is to cut it out.

if the rust has eaten a hole through the metal, then ya cutting it out would be fine
but if this is just surface rust yes sand blasting is the correct way to remove rust
no clue on how to do body work let some one else do it for you
i can`t teach you online sorry

I had rust in my front fenders also.. i just swapped a new front end on lmao. replacing the fenders will prolly be easier.. but odds are more expensive also. I got rust on my 1/4.. i got a junker car(02 Z24) and i will just cut off the sections i need to repair..

Media blasting won't be cheap, either and you'll likely end up having to do the whole car. Replacing the fender isn't that expensive, it'll surely be chealer than a media blast. They also make some stuff I saw on Trucks a few years ago called POR (Paint Over Rust) that supposedly stops the rust from spreading and coats the infected area and makes it pretty strong almost like fresh metal. Then it can be filled, smoothed, and painted. Never used it but I've heard it works.
