I wouldn't make a set unless you're good with machining and know exactly what you're going to get into. There's always Joe's GP that's been going on forever (I got my set from the first one he ran, I think he's on his third) and those are pretty good for a decent price.

there pretty cheap now a days a good kit for 300? id just spend the money after u do all the work n worry about which shocks to use and where to get them it seems like quite the headache. besides lambos are out of style now anyway if u anna do something do something more unique
yea, you wold be better off buying some cheap 300 dollar hinges from ebay, than since ur dad works at a machine shop, having him modify them in whatever way needed to fit, then u could get urself some better shocks when the cheap ones die out. OR, if your dad is the FATHER OF MACHINIST, in other words... hes good, and i dont mean normal good, I mean competition good that he can make women's breast impants out of steel. well u could probably borrow someones hinge and then have him make copies of them

spend $300 on cheap vert door kit, that will probably fall in 6 months, or...
spend next to nothing on steel and get them made by someone that cares more about what he is making?
I say get your Uncle to fab you some because some of the best things you will see on a car are fabricated and not mass produced.
Just my opinion though.

lets see is your uncle gonna make the shocks out of steel also? does he have no work or nothing to do? some of the best things? unless your door opens completly different no one will notice its not "mass produced"
ive had my lambo doors on my car for like 2 years daily driven not a problem to this day.
your gonna need to worry about how think it is how much it opens stuff like that so the door isnt sucked in or poking out or doesnt hit the fender when you open it it just seems like a headache but if you want to go for it. i dont understand whyd youd ask for measurements on something that is "mass produced" if you want it to be any different then a kit you can buy
