i was thinking about picking up a set of these for my new hood. On the redline site it says not tested with aftermarket hoods... Does snybody have a carbon fiber hood and are using these? Any help fould be greatly apreciated.

Looks to be ok with fiberglass, just installing the rivats I think might be the problem, but i am not sure.
Yes... the rivets seem to pop out or break out the cf or fg due to the high pressure put in the mounting area. There were a couple guys that made a larger mounting bracket to mount to the hood... I believe they seemed to work for them for atleast a little while, but think in the end it ended up busting out due to the pressure still.
If anyone needs a hood strut kit, let me know... I have a few sets left in stock from the last GP that was run.

I know of someone that is using the hood struts with a C/F Invader hood, there is no problem with it at all.

Yea, Phlatcav does, but hes has a 5 inch plate with 4 rivits holding each side on.
