Holes in trunk. Fix

I have 4 holes in my trunk from my touring spoiler. And the z24 spoiler that I got doesnt cover up those holes. Can anybody lead me in the right directing for patching/fixing/whatever I have to do to get rid of these holes without dropping mad cash.

the only correct way is to have them welded shut, then painting the trunk lid. you might be able to just use touch up paint if there welded from the inside.

would it be cheaper to go to a junk yard and buy another trunk?

well, i know the srt-4 guys have these rubber plug deals they use when the shave their stock spolier off... looks tacky up close, but from far away u cant even notice.
i believe they are like $20. so thats a nice cheap fix for ya!

^that somewhat what i was gonna mention, i know Dougall used to have some plug type things in his trunk when he removed the rear bezel panel. he had em painted to match body to but i dunno what they were, the only way to properly fill them is to get them tack welded shut then grinded down and repainted. might be able to get away with just repainting a patch and blending it in.

finding a different trunk in the junkyard would work but might not be cheaper.. its a toss up really.. depends on if u wanna get much work done or just replace the damn thing. finding one in ur car in good condition might be a lil tough.

weld them up and repaint thas't the right way. we can tell you a ton of wrong ways. plugging them. or my favorite ductape and find a permanent marker of your choice to color in the duct tape.

yup weld is the only way to fill it in. you may be able to get a lid cheaper from a yard depending on how much they are going to charge you versus the price to get it filled and painted. we cant tell you if its going to be cheaper because both those prices will vary. also trying to find that color lid in a yard may be hard.

Please don't use those little rubber plugs. There's a sunfire running around my hometown with about 6-8 of them in there. Just no. Sand, weld, sand, prime, paint... or buy a lid without a spoiler. Only way to figure out which way is cheaper is to call body shops and junkyards.

Sold 6/30/06.
