hey, i want to turn my forward facing turn signals/ parking lights, into fog lights. just wondering if a new sunfire fog light would fit? i know the wiring wont be too too hard to set up. just wondering if the swap is possible. and would it still be legal, because the side turn signals can be seen from the front. although barely.

a guy in my town did this with his sunfire, I don't think he's ever had problems with the cops but that doesn't mean its not illegal.

I was thinking the same thing except maybe fitting a the base model turn signals into the front bumper since I want fogs but don't like the 2000+ GT bumpers. I thought the fog and turn signals were the same, if not very close.

The fog lights on the 2000 - 2005 Sunfires are noticeably bigger than the turn signals so they wouldn't fit without modification to the bumper.



As far as the legal aspect, I would think there would be a pretty good chance of you getting pulled over because the side markers would be too hard to see from pretty much any angle. Not to mention, not having front facing turn signals would be down right dangerous in my opinion.

If you want fog lights, why not just switch to a 2000 - 2002 GT bumper?

dont like that style of bumper. and i want fogs cause they look cooler the amber parking lamps. i might do some custom work to the bumper to incorporate the turn signals( but not a parking lamp) and use the stock locations as fogs, i plan on moving the lamp farther farward in the bumper so that the lens is nearly flush with the outside of it. i'll post up a photo shop of what im talking about.

or just replace the whole foglight with this.., angel eye foglamp, i could wire the angel eye to be hte tur signal and parking lamp an dhave the main lampas the fog?
