Managed to damage my front right fender on my 2001 sunfire. I'm trying to find a replacement, as the passenger side door will not clear the paint anymore, and the panel is beyond a simple hammering. I managed to locate a 2000 right side fender, in the same color no less... will the 2000 fender fit the 2001, or should I keep searching the wreckers for a 2001 fender?

yes fit is the same yet u might have a color match problem 1 its a year older more sunlight fade and 2 not sure if gm tweaked the color of red between the two years like they did with the 03-04 color of yellow they called them both rally yellow yet 03 is a darker shade then 04.

Thanks for the reply's... I figured there may be a colour match problem. It's the silver paint though, so I'm not sure if it will be that drastic. Besides.. anything will look better then my beat up fender Any other model years that might fit? I know the 2002+ years will not.
