hey guys quick question.... one of my buddies who isnt a very good driver backed into my car yesterday... he dented my front fender with very little paint damage... i told him i would try and remove the dent myself and if i cant get it out i would bill him for the cost of the body shop... the dent is oblong shaped sort of like a cone (big to small- back to front) about 6"long and maybe 3" wide at the widest. it pushed in the panel, but he was backing up so slowly i think it will be fine if i can get it back out...
any ideas how to remove this dent? or how much do you think a body shop would cost? i would take pictures BUT its very very difficult to see with the camera thanks my my spotlessly clean vehicle
OH... i buffed the scuff and scratches off last night with an electric buffer my friend had.
its on the passenger fender and im sure it cant be to hard to get out...
is it a rounded dent, or is it a crease? if you can see a creased line, your chances of pulling it out are slim to none
it looks like someone pushed a rounded object into it.... HAHA irony is, the car he hit me with was a rounded object. (camaro rear quarter)
you can try and push it out, but theres a good chance the paint will spider-web if not crack and start falling off.
i would see if you can go get a quote from a paintless dent removal place. they're usually pretty good. you gotta figure it may seem expensive, but wont be as expensive as having to have the entire quarterpanel filled/sanded/painted/color blended

he said the front fender, not the quarter panel.

lol, good call. total mind lapse
either way, same premise.
beats me if this works but worth a try

Uhm, buy a new fender and paint it? I got brand new fenders for my car for 30 bux each.
my thoughts right now are as follows...
im going to try the whole co2 thing and see if that works...
then if it doesnt work to my standards (perfection)
ill check into a pdr service
but my friend already offered to help pay for 1/2 of new fenders if i decided to go that route... so i may just use this as a chance to get the new fenders on there
i need too see a pic of it, again very hard to teach you online to be a body man let alone fixing a dent
take off the fender i will fix it and no bondo!! metal finished ohhhh ahhhhhhh
can i haz bondo
i got most of it out today.... there is a small piece leftover which is hardly noticeable
it'll do until i can get the fenders im replacing it with.. no paint damage, and its unnoticeable without the paint chip
