Type-J sides

For some reason my sides aren't stickin to the car with 3m tape. They were good for a day or 2 then it got really hot out and the tape left go. I've tried puttin tape on again but it did the same thing. I was thinkin of maybe puttin a few screws into the top thick part from behind from insdie the car but you cant because of a support brace inside the car. i wanted to see how you guys are holdin your type-js on at this part. Heres a picture of what i mean.

well use the grey tape..that looks white..or if you want a more permanent fix use window urethane..but from the pics it looks like both surfaces were not prepped well enough..phil

reapply some 3m tape and hold it in place for 10 minutes with some force. That worked for me

Use a heat gun to heat the tape up before applying it to a surface. That worked wonders for me. Think I did it about 12 times before using heat and it turned out just like yours. SO heat is the key

MIne did the same thing. I cleaned and reapplied, 2 rolls later I finally applied some black sealant/cement and that did it. I hated to do it in case I needed to remove them later but I couldn't stand them peeling away all the time.

if the 3m tape doesnt work then you can use stuff at Advanced Auto parts called "Perma Poxy 5 minute plastic weld" it will hold it on great, thats what I used on mine. Some skirts just wont work with the 3m tape.
