Bezel lights

I'm thinking of putting lights (LED's) in the Bezel on the rear of my car...

I allready Have LED's ready to go... They're in a flex form kinda hose thing... (very descriptive, eh?)

top 1/2 for turn bottom 1/2 for brake (keeping stock lights intact, for possible legal reasons)(not taking any chances)
not sure if I want to have whole thing brake/turn...

If this has been done before, please link me, if not, Ill post pics when finished...

If it's NOT possible, for whetever reason, ill post that, too...

Here's a very 1337 paint of what it might look like... (Im hoping itt'l illuminate the entire bezel, not Spot light in places...)

OH, and are the turn/brake lights 5 or 12v?... that might help... Ill voltmeter it, anyway...

Finished installing LED's, unfortunately there is a solid plate that runs under the entire bezel, limiting the space avalible for any lights.

I guess it's just a light-bar then...

I think it looks good, can't wait to hear other opinions...

ANyhow, I'll post pics when digicam is working again, day and night versions.

Werd.

Looks really good man, i like how in that one pic you covered the stock third brake light.

Maybe tint that one or shave it completely and it would look really good. Hell you could even just unplug underneath the trunk lid, just in case you want to keep the way it looks in back. Just my opinion i think it would really show off those new LED's

Good work Man!

i was thinking of that, also i was thinking of hooking up the 2 enbd ones to the correcponding signal lights, and leaving the middle one brake only.

so
LEFT=Brake/Turn
Center=Brake
RIGHT=Brake /Turn

Ut was an annoyance to hook up, because of the limited amount of space...

THere's a solid panel behind the bezel, with maybe 1/4-3/8" at the top for anything.

also, you have a monuting depth of about 1/4", before it hios the trunk and will not seal.

SO THanks.

This turned out WAY better then my Air SUpplement idea (BTW, lets NOT talk about that) ONLY because I did research.

Thanks Guys.

IF there's enough interest, ill post a how-to, but there are still bugs to work out...
