Lemme know if I'm right here:
the 00+ cav headlights are rated at 65/55w and are 9007 units
the 00+ cav foglights are rated at 27w and are 880 units
Also, can I use 881 bulbs in my 880 foglight? As in, will they fit? the only difference seems to be the 90-degree bend in the 881 bulb compared to the straight 880 bulb.. wattage is the same.
Thanks!
Can our fogs handle 37,5 watts?
yes, 8xx series bulbs will work in our fog lights. 880, 881, 887, 891, 893, etc, will all work. i've had 100 watt bulbs in our housings, no issues.

at least in 00+ fog lights (which is what he's talking about)...... anything over (or even) stock will melt the housings over time. I had a set of Yellow 35w ones in there that melted the housing (couple months), and a set of hyper white 40w (about 1 month) ones that also melted the housings.....

wow.. looks like I'm gunna play it safe and keep the stock 880's in there then.. I was gunna go with a 27w xenon-style 881 with the 90-degree bend but theres no guarantee it'll fit and even if it does.. apparently stock wattage melts to the housings! hahaa woow. oh well, at least my 65/55w headlights wont melt! thanks tons guys.
