WRONG. just because you see a DOT stamp on aftermarket lights does NOT make them legal. I have a set of Clear Outer Taillights that have DOT stamps on them and they are illegal.

Those tail lights were only illegal if you removed the inners![]()
if you still had red reflectors (i.e inners or sunfire bumper) on the back of the car they were fine.

wrong they are illegal regardless. you need a red reflector on the rear that you can see from the side. that was the stock outers. take that away your left with none.

Here in Jersey they are considered legal as long as the reflectors can be seen from the rear.
