Basic question. car is in for paint. where on it is the paint code? i checked the hood, truck, and the trunk carpet cover for the spare tire?

x3 also on my friends s-fire i found his paint code for the body on the doorjamb. mine was on the underside of the spare tire well cover. also can be called a WA# and ppg books which is the paint the cars have already they have code books they should match if u look up ur year make and model. if the sig is ur car its sunburst orange.GM - (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Geo, GMC, Hummer, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saturn): GM has a fairly confusing code system. For example, the color code 96/WA8867 listed on our site can be shown on your vehicle as: 96U 96L 8867 WA8867 8867L 8867U. Often there will be a BC CC before the color code. This stands for Basecoat/Clearcoat. The U in the paint code means the Upper Color and the L means the Lower Color. Two tone vehicles will have each color coded, i.e. 96U and say 36L. Also, it could be 8867L or 8834U, etc. Just don't get confused by the BC CC and the U and L. What you are looking for is a match on your color plate that matches at least part of what we show on our site.
also i found these if it sunburst orange. 85/WA802K Sunburst Orange Metallic GM Sunburst Orange Metallic . 56/WA913L Sunburst Orange Metallic B/C GM Sunburst Orange Metallic B/C . these are GM color codes any of these should match urs or any one with that color could varify but they are Direct Gm color codes off my friends cav(04 sunburst orange mettalic) hope it helps

you can take your vin # to the deapership and have them order you touch up paint (which will have the paint code) Or if they aren't @!#$ heads they will tell you without making you buy tough up paint.

Yep. That's all they will need.
You would think the paint shop would know how to find the paint code for you, or help you find it.
you looking for the orange? i got a can of touch up paint as well as teh number.
