So the Sunfire Headlights have taken a massive crap on me. yet again. I went to move the car the other day and my drl light starting blinking like a fool, no big deal I thought, burnt bulb. I replace both bulbs today, and to my chagrin, the passenger side lights up fine but drivers side is super dim. Plus my drl light still blinks when I start.
I'm suspecting something I wrong with the harness, I tried pulling the drl fuse in the driveside fuse box, made no difference. Is there a relay or fused link in the underhood harness of the light system? I look and couldn't see anything.
Its a 1999 Sunfire GT, all options except Auto. Anyhelp guys, I need to be able to drive this car at night.
Did you try the new bulb that worked in the opposite side. Always the possibility that one of the new bulbs could be bad. I'll be thinking about what it could be.
help,my right side head light is out changed the bulb and checked the fuse, and now my daytime running lights aren't working just flashing in the dash
Canada unfortunatly, I think the problem is in the wiring, but its all under the battery tray and wiper fluided tank, aka no way to get to it.
chris it's your wiring it rots out. i've replced mine twice already. take it to GM shouldn't be more then $80 to fix
is it hard to remove the battery tray and washer bottle, that seems to be the answer every one says, ive checked everything else and it seems fine fuses wiring, bulbs?
It was the wiring, I re did the harness and it works great now. Wasn't in too big a rush, only use the car intermitantly. I suggest anyone who has this problem to redo the harness with a good wring and shield it well, it appears prone to corrosion being under the battery tray and all.
